FAITH BEYOND REASON A Gathering of Friends was a group who came together after their involvement in Hosanna! Music Ministry (H!MM) in 1989. Patrick Goh who pulled the young people along to record this album also wrote all the songs. Paula Grosse, Sharon Pereira, Patricia Han, Timothy Chong and Trevor Nerva provided the vocals for the tracks. This was the first time they came together as a group to record a Contemporary Christian album. (They had worked together in "POVERELLO-The Musical", recorded earlier). A mini concert was held in December of that year in the Church of Christ the King with the generous support of Rev Fr Anthony Ho. Their families and friends from the different parishes, Hosanna! and Johor Bahru came to enjoy their music and pray with them. The songs in the Faith Beyond Reason attempt to present a cycle from the innocence of childhood, to the innocence of faith in God. A journey on which we encounter the wonder and hope of Christ's birth, and face the reality of His presence in today's world. We then find refuge and forgiveness in Him.
